Hello friend,
I'm certainly having a blast writing to you! With more of "THIS IS MY YEAR" ahead of us, I'm excited for what the future holds.
It feels like we're really starting to connect, so I think it's time to dig a little deeper into how we can achieve more success together.
One topic I want to tackle is what often holds people back from reaching their full potential; limiting beliefs. Throughout March, our emails will revolve around the theme - This, I Believe.
Our beliefs and values shape who we are, and limiting beliefs can hold us back by creating self-doubt, fear, or a sense of inadequacy. Here are some examples of common limiting beliefs:
"I'm not good enough."
This belief can manifest in various areas of life, such as feeling inadequate in relationships, work, or personal endeavors.
"I don't deserve success/happiness."
Believing that you are unworthy of achieving success or experiencing happiness can hold you back from pursuing your goals or enjoying life's pleasures.
"I'm too old/young."
Age-related beliefs can limit your potential by convincing you that you are either too old or too young to pursue certain opportunities or make significant changes in your life.
"I'm not smart/talented enough."
Thinking that you lack intelligence or talent can prevent you from taking on new challenges or pursuing your passions.
"I'll never be able to change."
Believing that you are incapable of change can hinder personal growth and prevent you from breaking free from negative patterns or habits.
"I must always please others."
This belief can lead to people-pleasing behavior and prevent you from prioritizing your own needs and desires.
"Money is evil or unattainable."
Viewing money as a negative or unattainable resource can limit your financial success and prevent you from building wealth.
"I'm destined to fail."
Believing that failure is inevitable can create a self-fulfilling prophecy and discourage you from taking risks or pursuing your dreams.
"I'm not worthy of love/affection."
Feeling unworthy of love or affection can sabotage relationships and prevent you from forming meaningful connections with others.
"I'll never be as good as [someone else]." Comparing yourself to others and believing that you will never measure up can erode your confidence and self-esteem.
These are just a few examples, but there are many more that can hold us back. Recognizing and challenging these beliefs is key to personal growth and empowerment.
DO THIS...
List the top 10 things you fear or worry about. Then, compare them to the common limiting beliefs listed above. Take note of which limiting beliefs resonate with you and how they might be holding you back from what you truly desire.
THINK THIS...
Remember, almost everything we do is learned, and understanding ourselves better can lead to greater success in all aspects of life. It may take some effort, but it's worth it!
Let's dive into our limiting beliefs and explore how they might be impacting our success.
All my best,
